Halloween is almost here, y’all, and I am feeling heebie-jeebies! I love a good ghost story, and believe it or not, Colorado is home to more “haunted” grounds than just the Stanley Hotel (I’ve actually stayed in the allegedly spirited Room 401, but that’s a story for another time…). Looking for the chance to potentially peep something paranormal? Consider visiting these frightful sights this spooky season:
⚰️ The Central City Masonic Cemetery in Black Hawk⛓️ Museum of Colorado Prisons in Cañon City
🏨 Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs
🚞 Gold Camp Road Tunnels in Colorado Springs
There’s also a lot of haunted history to explore right here in Denver — Cheesman Park, the Patterson Inn, the Molly Brown House. I’d recommend checking out any of Denver’s excellent haunted history tours for a spooky sampling:
📜 Dark Side of Denver Ghost Tours: hosted by local historian Phil Goodstein ($20-$24)
👻 Denver Terrors Ghost Tours: featuring 14 different paranormal sites ($30)
🕯️ Denver Walking Ghost Tours: a mix of legend, lore, and history ($28-$30)
🍸 Denver Haunted Walking Tours: with a haunted pub crawl option ($23-$28)
