✨ Order Something Magical at Coffeegraph

The unique focus on Indonesian flavors at this new family-owned coffee shop in the West Highland neighborhood is enough to warrant a visit any time of the year. But this week is your last chance to check out the cafe’s limited-time Harry Potter menu, featuring specialty coffee and tea concoctions with a distinctly magical twist.

  • Hungry? Coffeegraph’s pastry selection is provided by two local faves: Banh & Butter Bakery and GetRight’s!

❄️ Blow Your Snow Troubles Away

If your goal for the new year is to work smarter not harder, here’s a Mile High life hack for you: Thanks to a state law passed last year, you can nab a 30% discount on an electric snow blower when you purchase from select retailers. No paperwork, no hassle, just a carefree way to make Colorado living a little easier. You’re welcome.

  • Our rec: Per City Cast Denver podcast producer Paul Karolyi’s research, he suggests this one 😉

💆 Warm Up and Unwind at Denver’s New Garden Sauna

This nature and wellness sanctuary boasts a beautifully finished wood-fire sauna and a cold plunge pool that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated for the new year. The best part? Intro sessions begin at just $19!

☕ Order a Coffee Flight at Grounds for Dismissal

⛄ Ogle Unbelievable Snow Sculptures in Breckenridge

Make it a weekend getaway and head to the charming Rocky Mountain town of Breckenridge for its annual Snow Sculpture Championships. Four-person teams from around the world compete to hand-carve (no power tools allowed!) a 25-ton block of solid snow into something spectacular. Carving (Jan. 20-24) and viewing/voting (Jan. 24-29) will take place near downtown Breck.

🗣️ Learn Spanish with Other Locals

Whether you’re looking to learn a new language or you just want to brush up on your conjugations, you can join a small community of like-minded Denverites for regular meetups to celebrate Spanish culture and practice casual conversation. Museo de las Americas facilitates monthly meetings at Cervecería Colorado. Or for something more frequent, check out the local group Hablamas Espanol, which can often be spotted sharing a cerveza or two at Raíces Brewing. Both groups are free and open to all people of any Spanish-speaking level.

🚲 Enjoy a Little Something Old with a Little Something New

The City Park West space that formerly housed the longtime Denver fave, Bicycle Cafe, is getting new life this month. Hearth Bakery — an uber popular pandemic-era success story — moved into the vacant property on 17th Avenue in November. This month, Hearth will be joined by Latchkey Bar, an Austin bar scene stalwart.

🍝 Don’t Miss Pasta & Piano Night at Champagne Tiger

There’s no bad time for pasta and piano music, but returning in 2025 by popular demand, Champagne Tiger is continuing its Pasta & Piano series every Wednesday night. Sample a different pasta dish each week over melodious tunes provided by a rotating cast of local musicians, all set among the American-diner-meets-French-brassiere vibes of this new East Colfax haunt.

🎧 Even more fun things to do this month!
