As I mentioned in yesterday’s newsletter, this month is National Hispanic Heritage Month, and this week is Colorado’s Hispanic Restaurant Week. I asked if you all had any Hispanic-owned restaurants you wanted to highlight, and here’s what you had to say:

Reader Julio E.:
I'd love to give a s/o to Gloria Landa fromJavier's Dineron 38th and Tennyson. She is one of the hardest working people I know and the food/location is great! Their breakfast burritos are the real sweet spot and they always have your favorite fútbol team playing for those evening matches.”

Reader Yesenia C.:
“Shoutout toRosario’s Peruvian Restaurantin Longmont!! Tastes just like home.Pisco Sour Loungein Aurora is decent too and a bit closer. Cannot forget the very best that isCuba Cuba

Reader Shannan R.:
“I know you said restaurants, but I wanna give a shout-out toCheluna Brewing Co., the first Latinx-owned Mexican craft cervezería in Colorado, owned by Javier Perez, inspired by the culture and flavors of Oaxaca.”

CCD Host Bree Davies:
El Rancheritois great and highly underrated. Also, my other spot on the southwest side isTorres. And of course,La Estrellitain Brighton, my first love for Mexican food. Oh, andCultura Chocolate!”

As For Me:
I love everything that five-time James Beard Award-nominee Chef Dana Rodriguez does. (See: Super Mega Bien, Work & Class, and soon Casa Bonita!) I’m also always fiending for the hand-crafted, small-batch, authentic Argentinian empanadas from Maria Empanada.
