🍔 Misfit Is On the Move

After five years of slinging adventurous bar food at Middleman, Misfit Snack Bar owner Bo Porytko says the concept is leaving the East Colfax bar at the end of May to look for its own brick-and-mortar location with an expanded menu. The tiny kitchen at Middleman will begin rotating chefs once Misfit departs. [Denver Post]

Maria Empanada is launching a program to donate $25,000 worth of empanadas to the migrant shelter at the Quality Inn off Speer Blvd. Owner Lorena Cantarovici said she identifies with the mostly-Venezuelan families arriving in Denver and hopes to provide them with the not-so-spicy flavors of home. Sushi Den is bringing back its lunch service for the first time since 2020, featuring “catch of the day” favorites alongside new menu items. [Denver Post]

🚚 Civic Center Eats Returns

The annual food truck program is back downtown for its 19th year. Dozens of rotating food vendors will be on hand Wednesdays and Thursdays at Civic Center Park through June 26 for its spring season. [Civic Center Park]
