Here’s a handful of veteran-owned local businesses you can support this week (while treating yourself to a nice experience in the process) ✨
🍺 Launch Pad Brewery (Aurora & Bennett)
Inspired by aviation and founded by veterans Dave Levesque and Henry Rusch, Launch Pad Brewery always has something to do. Drink up one of their current ales on tap, join a trivia game, or attend a beer and cheese pairing to mix things up. There are two locations, but the Aurora spot near Buckley Space Force Base is closer to town.
Coming up this weekend: the free Books and Brews event at Aurora on Nov. 7.
🧖 Evolve Medical Spa (Highlands Ranch)
Discover medical-grade skincare delivered by clinical professionals at Evolve Medical Spa. Elizabeth Neilsen became an esthetician in the mid 2000’s after serving in the military. Spray tans, peptide-infused facials, and microneedling are just a few of the many services you can choose from at this women- and veteran-owned spa in Highlands Ranch.
🥩 Rising Phoenix Restaurant (Lowry)
Rising Phoenix Restaurant is a two-in-one eatery and concert venue serving up hearty steak plates, cheesy pasta dishes, and a full bar. Downstairs, check into The Dove Underground for live music, comedy, and a club-like feel.
Next up:Comedy night with Ben Roy on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.
🪷 Hope for Skin Body Butter (Denver)
Army veteran and Colorado native Hope created Hope for Skin Body Butter after she struggled to stay moisturized (and her baby kept eating lotion). Today, this natural body care brand delivers the perfect antidote to dry Denver skin — without harsh additives or chemicals. They sell soaps, room and linen sprays, and of course, body butters like their lavender chamomile jar.
