Be it a bar, a coffee shop, or a back patio, every neighborhood needs a great place to gather. In Sunnyside, that place is Semiprecious. Opened in 2025, this design-forward cocktail bar is inspired by Le Corbusier, a French-Swiss architect who married functional design with beautiful form.
This inspiration is apparent through the warm interior of Semiprecious. The retro wood paneling with red and blue accents is reminiscent of the after-work scenes in “Mad Men.” That 50s era decor isn’t just about Le Corbusier — it’s also a nod to the building the bar is housed in, which was once a showroom for midcentury furniture.
That history creates the perfect backdrop for Semiprecious’ streamlined drinks program, which uses advanced technology for a consistent experience guests can rely on. For instance, they carbonate all their sparkling drinks in house for the freshest, most bubbly drinks. They’ve also put extensive thought into their cocktail batching and refrigeration process, so mixes stay cold without the need for ice.
The result? Cocktails that are just right, every time.
