Last week, state officials celebrated plans for the “bus rapid transit” line they’re planning to someday run from Boulder to Longmont. As you count down the days to better bus service across Denver’s north ‘burbs, here are a few Longmont recs to get you excited:

🍻 Wibby Brewing

Brewmaster Ryan Wibby brought home a “Brewery of the Year” award at the Great American Beer Festival this year. There are still some nice days ahead to help celebrate on their beautiful patio with an IPL (that’s imperial pale lager), or go full Longmont and make it a Mike.P.L. (that’s an IPL with a splash of grapefruit juice to honor of one Wibby’s regulars).

🍕 Rosalee’s Pizza

Word is out on this “Old World East Coast-style” pizza joint on Main Street. They sell pizza by the slice for lunch, but trust us, you’re gonna want that whole pie straight from the oven.

☕ Ziggi’s Coffee

Ziggi’s drive-thrus have been popping up across metro Denver recently, but the original location on Longmont’s Main Street — which opened in 2004 — is a whole different experience. You can still get the Red Bull soda infusions that many commuters have come to love, but it’s more of a community hub, with exposed brick walls and neighbors happy to say hello.

🧀 Cheese Importers

Linda and Lyman White started importing cheese from Europe to Longmont in 1976. Their famed bistro has regrettably closed, but their European market still has plenty of other goodies worth the trip. Plus, there’s the cheese cave!
