While you’re planning your seasonal hikes and camping trips, why not also be on the lookout for volunteering opportunities in the great outdoors? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

🚮 Friends of Red Rocks

Help preserve Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre by taking part in Friends of Red Rocks’ monthly trail clean-ups and special projects on the last Saturday of each month. All gear is provided, you just need to register and sign a waiver.

🥾 Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado

Sign up as an individual or group for one of VOC’s public projects to assist with trail maintenance and construction, food garden planting, weed removal, and more. Applications are also open for their Cairn Program for high school students, if you’re interested in becoming a mentor for the upcoming school year (or know a student who’d like to get involved).

🌱 Denver Urban Gardens

Become a Tree Keeper, join a community garden workday, or help out with a Denver Urban Gardens event or class. Whether you’re looking to get involved in a long-term project or are just wanting to do a little gardening now and then, there are plenty of opportunities available.

🙋 And Much More!
